I'm In Love... // August's Favorites

Hello there,

Today I'm telling you everything about the things I've been loving this past month. There are a couple of things that I got in the beginning of August and I've been using or wearing non stop, and other things that I've got for the past 6 months and I've been using like crazy in August, and I probably won't stop using.

Anyway, without further ado, let's get into it!

First thing first, the Random things.

A few weeks ago I adopted (Yes adopted!) a Cactus! I say adopted because after all it's living. I named it Jack and I love him so much (yes it's a he). He's so cute and pretty. We get along very well, he loves his new place.

I must sound crazy. I must say I've never really thought about getting a plant, just because I'm not the kind of person who is good at keeping plant alive, even though I made some really great progress. I managed to keep the roses my boyfriend got me when we were still living in Ireland for 4 weeks! I got lazy around the end, so I stopped cutting the edges...

Anyway, we were shopping at some stores and I just thought, Let's get a Cactus! Out of nowhere. But it was a good idea, Jack adds a good vibe to my room and completes the decoration perfectly! Plus, it's simple to take care of a Cactus, you just have to water it once every 3 or 4 weeks. Yeah, Jack is not needy.

Then we have my Father Daughter recipe book wrote by the fabulous Gwyneth Paltrow. It gathers great, delicious and sometimes healthy recipes. I haven't tried any of the recipes in the book yet (I don't have time, okay!), but I've looked at it so many times and I've already planned every recipes that I'm gonna do. I can't wait.

The book is well done, with great photographs of every meal, great explanations etc. There are also a tons of recipes from snacks to real meal and deserts.

Of course, I got the book in French 'cause I just felt like it would be easier to cook with recipes in French, especially since I don't have to translate the measurements...

Another favorite is my Emoji Stickers. I love them so much. They were so cheap and I love the results on my laptop.

I got them on EmojiStickers, for 1$ each. The shipment was also quite cheap given the fact that it comes from the US, I think it was around 8$. However, I had to wait for 2 weeks and a half to get the package.

I chose 11 stickers that represent my life quite well I think.

So I have the four leaf clover for my year in Ireland and all the good things that happened there. I have the chocolate bar because I'm literally a chocolate monster. The English flag because I love England. The magic ball is for my love for Harry Potter and magic stuffs. The lips mark are for addiction to makeup and lipstick. The donuts is there because I love Donuts. The heel is because I kinda only wear high heels. The lipstick is for my blog and again my addiction to makeup. The camera is because I love taking pictures. The monkey is there because I like it and because I'm kinda blind. Finally the American Flag because I love the US as well and I've so much memories there.

Finally on my random list, we have this little notebook.

I got it at Hema, it was quite cheap but I can't remember the price since I got it in December! I just started using it to stay organized with my blog. I wrote my ideas, my to-do lists etc.

I love the inspirational phrase on the cover and I love the color.

Then we have the Beauty favorites...

This month I've been loving the Scandalous fragrance body lotion from Victoria's Secret. Okay I'm lying, I haven't been loving it this month since I actually just got it while I was in London...

But still! I love it! It smells delicious, and actually the smell is similar to one body lotion from Victoria's Secret that I got last year.

The smell is very flowery and fruity, smells like summer in a bottle. It's so nice and moisturizing.

Apparently, it's a blend of Raspberry liqueur, praline and black peony. Just delicious I swear!

Next product is an all time favorite of mine and it's the Clean On Me body wash from Soap and Glory.

Again the smell is very fruity and delicious.  I originally bought this in a travel size for my last days in Dublin but I ended up loving in and buying the full size on Amazon since we don't have Soap and Glory here in France.

I love the packaging too! It's very cute, and I love how "vintage" all Soap and Glory products look.

I don't feel like it is very moisturizing like Dove, so I don't use it every single day, I switch with Dove every two days or so.

Next on my list is the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Nectar. This is amazing! I've wanted it for the longest time and I got it for my birthday. I didn't want to use it much at first 'cause I didn't want to waste it. But I've been using it a lot for my vacation!

It's so easy to use, and it adds so much colors on your cheeks for a glowing look. I'm definitely going to buy that again when I run out of it because I love it so much!

For my hair I've been loving the Remington Curling Iron. I usually straight my hair since I have very curly and frizzy hair but I wanted to add more volume so I tried to curl it with my curling iron and I love the effect.

I'm not sure about the size of the iron, but it's pretty big. The bigger your iron is the more volume you get, and the less real curly hair you get.

It doesn't necessarily give me great curls because of the size of the iron, but it gives me volume and waves, which I love. It's in the middle of straight and curly.

I also love the Bumble and Bumble hair thickening hairspray, which I use when I curl my hair. It adds so much volume to my hair! It's quite expensive though... But it's amazing! Plus it really keeps my hair in place. I don't have to worry about my waves disappearing during the day when I use that product.

If you want to learn everything about my "wavy and volumized hair routine", stay tuned, it's coming soon!

Finally we have the Mark Hill anti humidity hair spray that I got a while back at Boots when I was living in Dublin.

First of all I love the packaging and how everything sounds funny on the bottle. I also love the smell of it! I can't describe it but it smells delicious! It really keeps my hair in place, and makes it shiny and soft. It really doesn't have the effect of a regular hairspray (Do you ever feel like your hair is paper after using hairspray?) so it's great.

Finally, the Fashion favorites...

The first one is my new wallet from It's Not Me It's You that I got at Topshop on Oxford Street when I was in London. It's full leather, so quite smelly.... yellow bright with "I've lost the key to my imagination now I can't start my unicorn" written in purple on the front.

There are 4 small pockets inside for cards, one bigger for paper money I guess, and another big one with a zipper for change.

It's quite big, but I love it, I love the color, the phrase on it, and I found it very practical.

Then we have my skull necklace from MoMuse that I got for my birthday. I love it, and I've been loving it since the day I got it.

It goes with everything, and it's so pretty with the black skull with purple/yellow undertone. It is quite long too, which I love, it's easy to take off and to put on.

Next is my Lipstick sweater from Faubourg 54. I love this brand, they have an E-shop on Etsy if you want to check them out.

Their products are really cute, 100% french and fashionable, perfect if you want to be comfy and stylish. They are quite pricy though.

I got a grey sweater back in January with written Never Without Lipstick in red on the front with a lipstick mark; and my boyfriend got me this one a few weeks ago. I can't stop wearing it.

Last item is my Victoria's Secret pyjama set. Again this isn't an item that I've been loving all month since I just got it. But still!

This is just a plain pyjama set with a short sleeves shirt and shorts with an elastic.

I love the burgundy color and how comfy it is! Too bad this is a summer pyjama... I also love the white line which add a little "stylish" bonus.

That's it for my monthly favorites! Hope you liked it!
